Need help with Bulk Planner?

Questions about sourdough schedules, notifications, saved formulas, learning logs, or app feedback can be sent directly to support.

Common questions

Notifications are not showing

Open iOS Settings, find Bulk Planner, and confirm notifications are allowed. For long schedules, keep the app installed and do not force quit it right before a bake.

Apple Watch alerts

Bulk Planner mirrors iPhone notifications to Apple Watch when mirroring is enabled in the Watch app. A full companion Watch app may be added later.

Dynamic Island or Lock Screen timer

Start a schedule from Guide or Timer. Live Activities can show active progress, but local notifications are the reliable source for alerts.

Saved formulas

Save and load formulas from the Formula tab. Loading a different formula is blocked while a timer is running so the active schedule does not change accidentally.

Learning looks empty

Log starter peak times and finished bake results. The app needs a few real entries before its timing suggestions become personal to your starter and kitchen.

Timing feels wrong

Check room temperature, dough temperature, starter condition, fridge temperature, banneton type, and grain mix. Sourdough is variable, so use the dough as the final signal.

What to include in a support email

  • Your iPhone model and iOS version.
  • What screen you were using: Guide, Formula, Timer, Cold, Learn, or Notes.
  • The formula or loaf style you selected.
  • Room temp, dough temp, fridge temp, and planned cold proof hours if the issue is timing-related.
  • A screenshot if something looks off.

Important baking note

Bulk Planner estimates timing, but sourdough is affected by flour, starter activity, dough temperature, room temperature, fridge performance, handling, and shaping. The app is a planning aid, not a replacement for baker judgment.
